- Vitamin C (if it's strong or irritating)
- Harsh exfoliants or peels
Sun Exposure & Tanning
No tanning beds or prolonged sun exposure to prevent irritation and hyperpigmentation. Always wear SPF 30-50.
Waxing, Threading, or Depilatory Creams
Avoid on the treatment area to prevent extra sensitivity.
Blood Thinners & Alcohol
Minimize aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and alcohol for 24-48 hours before to reduce the risk of bruising.
Excessive Caffeine
Can increase skin sensitivity.
What to Do Instead
Hydrate Inside & Out
Drink plenty of water and use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer leading up to your appointment.
Use a Mild Cleanser
Stick to a non-stripping face wash.
